Ceremony Site: Just make sure you have an alternative, if you’re planning an outdoor wedding. Wherever it happens, you’ll be getting married. If you’ve planned a fabulous wedding ceremony and worked hard on your wedding vows, you’re going to have what you need to be married at the end of the day. That’s what’s important, right?

And haven’t you always found that carrying an umbrella is a guarantee the weather will be grand? So, if your entire community is carrying umbrellas, it’s got to help, right?

Metaphors: Rain washes the world clean, it supplies life-giving water. Both of these are images that a marriage can incorporate! Use what’s around and let it make your marriage strong and at one with the natural elements.

Décor: Go with it. Throw out the candles and use fish in your centerpieces. Have a sense of humor and play it up.

First Dance: Start out your first dance with “I’m going to love you, come rain or come shine.” And segue into another song that’s equally mushy about a man loving a woman.

Sense of Humor: Nothing is going to be ruined by the rain unless you’re determined that your life, wedding and marriage will be ruined if there is rain. Why do that? Remember how amazing it is that you’re going to marry your beloved. And enjoy it. This is your wedding. Long long time ago, there was a princess. Getting wedding ideas that include children are becoming more and more in demand especially for people getting married again and couples that are only getting married after they had a child or children together.

Many people may be truly horrified at the idea of even having children at a wedding much less including them in the ceremony or reception. It doesn’t have to be this way though and making children a part of the wedding (ceremony or otherwise) can provide an unexpected and fun element that can contribute a lot towards making an otherwise stressful situation bearable. We recently attended a second wedding of a couple in their fifties. All the children and grandchildren from their previous marriages were included in the ceremony and reception. This gave such a warm, united feeling and made it a very special wedding.

A very nice touch were teenage granddaughters handing out a single fresh flower to every lady as they entered the church which made them all feel special and in the right frame of mind for a wedding.
 
This is just a few of many wedding ideas that include children. Anything goes since it is your wedding and you make the decisions. Who says it has to be by the book? It is refreshing to see things done a bit differently at times. This prevents a ceremony from getting boring.

Have you set your wedding date yet? No? That  is okay. Setting the date to your wedding is a big deal. The day you get married is a day you will remember forever. It will be the day that you celebrate every year. With this in mind, realize you must pick a date you can live with. When choosing your date there are many things to consider. Some of the basics include what part of the year you want to get married in (or celebrate yearly), if there are any conflicts with your date and if you have enough time to prepare your wedding by that date. All dates are not created equal. There are some dates you may choose to avoid. It may seem obvious, but planning a wedding can be stressful or exciting and sometimes we don’t put all of our effort into picking a date which we can plan our wedding by and that we will be forever happy with.

Holidays  Some people want to get married on holidays but most people choose to avoid these dates. If you do not want to share the spotlight you may want to avoid a holiday wedding, especially a major holiday such as Valentine’s Day or Christmas. Your guests may not be happy with you if you plan a holiday wedding and they have to spend their holiday with you instead of participating in their normal holiday customs, whether they are romantic plans for holidays such as Valentine’s Day or Sweetest Day or more family oriented such as during Thanksgiving or Christmas. Birthdays or Anniversaries

You may want to avoid having your wedding on birthdays or anniversaries of close friends or family members. Days to avoid are really individual to each wedding and family. If you family or his has war veterans you may want to avoid days that are significant to those wars If your mother is an avid Elis fan or your sister had a shrine to Kurt Cobain growing you would probably avoid the dates of their deaths plus any other dates significant to them.
